Mikhail Smirnov to Represent Russia! (JESC)

The national final to decide which young superstar will represent Russia has taken place in Moscow, at the Luzhniki Arena. The show was opened with a musical act, and then a common song. There was then an introduction by the jury, and the executive supervisor of Junior Eurovision, Vladislav Yakovlev.

The jury consisted of 7 members including last year’s Junior Eurovision participant Alisa Kozhikina. The jury and the Russian public decided that Mikhail Smirnov should be the one to represent Russia with the song Dream. He won with a convincing 34 points, and was followed by Maria Mirova on 31 points, and then the duo Hikmatullina and Maneshina with 28 points.
